Cefn Mawr Community Social Club

The Cefn Mawr Community Social Club (CMCSC) or more commonly known as ‘The Legion’ is a pub located just off Cae Gwylliam Lane in Cefn Mawr. The ‘Legion’ changed its name to the CMCSC in 2010 but one thing that has not changed is their ongoing support towards local Cefn football teams over the years on both Saturday’s and Sundays.

At present the CMCSC are valued as one of the key sponsors of Cefn Albion Football club and their continued donations contribute to referee and pitch hire fees for both the first team and the reserves. In addition, they provide all the post-match refreshments to whoever is playing at home and also the visiting team.

The ‘Legion’ is very popular within the community which is no surprise given the amount of activities that take place there. They have darts, dominoes, and Snooker teams and have reoccurring Bingo evenings every Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sunday. The main function room which can hold over 150 people is a popular choice for hiring children’s parties, discos and christenings etc.

The ‘Legion’ boasts a bar area, lounge and a ‘big room’ and one thing that you can guarantee there is always a friendly atmosphere so please feel free to pop in for a couple of cold drinks and get involved with the local community. There is a very warm welcome awaiting you from all the regulars and bar staff.
