FC Queens Park v Cefn Albion

This Saturday (5/8/17) our first team compete in their first competitive fixture as they travel to Stansty Park to take on FC Queens Park in the Presidents Cup Final. The ‘park’ who were crowed 2016/17 Welsh National League Premier Division league Champions are now members of the Cymru Alliance, Wales’s second tier after a ground share with Lex Glyndwr (Stansty Park) was approved. We of course were crowned as 2016/17 Welsh National League Premier Division league cup Champions hence the fixture.
From last season, which witnessed QP inflict our heaviest defeat we know all about our opponents so we are fully aware of the task that is ahead. However, although we head into the game as underdogs we will approach the game with the belief that we can put in a respectable performance and possibly upset the odds on the day. For each season that Albion have existed we have won silverware so it would be another big opportunity to continue that trend before the W.N.L Premier Division kicks off on the 11th August.
We are hoping that the supporters from the two clubs make a huge effort to attend the game they are treated to a good competitive cup final for everyone to enjoy. Please do your very best to come and get involved.
