3G Winter Training agreed at the Rock

We are delighted to announce that this seasons winter training schedule has now been arranged and will take place every Wednesday evening at 18:00, which is due to begin on 12/10/16. We are excited to reveal that we have booked a regular spot on the new 3G pitch that is nearing completion at the Rock, which is home of our local neighbours and Welsh Premier League outfit Cefn Druids.

Cefn Druids, together with its other funding partners, Sport Wales, Cefn Community Council and the Football Association of Wales, recently announced that they secured the necessary funding to join the 3G revolution that is taking place across Wales. Following completion they aim to make the Rock a hub for club and local community use which is excellent news. The project will see a 100m x 64m FIFA 1Star 3G pitch with 3m run-off to all sides replace the grass pitch.

This is fantastic news for our club as it provides our players with a good opportunity to train using top of the range facilities which are right on our doorstep. Signalling our intention to provide the best we can for the lads who represent this football club, it was a no brainer for us to utilise what will be on offer and we believe that it will be a contributing factor to improving player development.

Well done to Cefn Druids for making this available to the community and we would like to wish them good luck with the new 3G pitch, we are looking forward to making this our home on a Wednesday night.
