Albion & Dance Zone join forces

Cefn Albion football club is delighted to announce that we will be teaming up with local Dance Academy ‘Dance Zone’ in order to further grow our already strong community links. We can confirm that following successful talks between our hard-working fundraising team of Kev Griff, Paul Vaughan and Tom Owens and DZ’s Emma Jones and Sian Roberts we will be joining forces to host many pre-planned exiting events for the local community to come together and enjoy.

So, who are Danze Zone?

Founded in 1997, Dance Zone Academy is a well-established free style dance school that has been providing expert dance opportunities to the Cefn Mawr community and beyond for well over 20 years. Situated in the George Edwards hall on Well Street, qualified and registered dance teachers Emma Jones and Sian Roberts encourage children who are aged three and above to join their sessions. As well as being thoroughly enjoyable and great fun the sessions are focused on helping the children’s co-ordination, confidence and concentration. Sian and Emma, who both have enhanced Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) certificates and first aid qualifications encourage children of any gender, ability, size, religion or disability to join the group. The pairs primary aim is to keep children off the streets and to also contribute towards improving their fitness and health through dance. They strive to ensure that their dance sessions also provide stability, develop social competence and positive behaviour.

Since the school was launched it has since expanded with two additional schools opening in Llangollen and Corwen areas. At present Dance Zone proudly holds an impressive register of over 130 dancers. Every Monday and Thursday, starting at 17:00 Dance Zone provides fun, gymnastics, freestyle classes and also competitive classes for any dancer wanting to compete at dance competitions and festivals all around the country. Every year the teachers and dancers work incredibly hard learning routines that are performed at a summer and Christmas show. These shows include every child which gives them the opportunity to perform and express themselves on the big stage in front of sell out audiences.

We are delighted to be joining forces with a group that we believe shares a very similar ethos to us. We both want to provide a good platform for the local people within our fantastic community. Please keep an eye across our social media pages for upcoming events and please do your very best to support the events that both parties will be working extremely hard to organise.
