This Saturday marks 580 days since our first team last played a competitive match in our village, Cefn Mawr. On December 2, 2022, after a brilliant 13-0 victory over Kerry at the Rock in the Ardal Northern East, we could not have anticipated that we would soon be playing our home games 8 miles away at Clywedog Park. We were forced to play our football away from our Cefn Mawr, and sadly we continue to do so!
After two and a half seasons away, we are delighted to announce that we are finally coming home for at least one game! Join us at Ty Mawr Field this Saturday as we host Tier 3 St Asaph City in the FAW Amateur Trophy 24/25 - Qualifying Round 1. 14:00 KO. We’re calling on our community to come out and support the team if you can, they will need your backing against good opposition. Last Saturday, the fantastic turnout for the reserves' season opener was great to see. Let’s match that and welcome the first team back home!
It's been a challenging period for the club, but we must commend the dedication of our volunteers, players, and management. Despite the obstacles, they have remained committed to keeping the club competitive and thriving. We continue to work with the relevant authorities to fetch Cefn Albion Football Club home for good!
Come on the Cefners, get behind your team this weekend if you can.
