On Sunday 28th August 2022, people connected to Cefn Albion Football Club participated in a fun-filled charity bike ride to raise money for Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham and the Cefn Albion senior and youth teams.
Over the Christmas period, we were absolutely delighted to hand over a cheque for £1500 to the staff at the hospice. A big thank you to our very own Haydn Evans for visiting the hospice to hand over the cheque.
Making a difference
Nightingale House Hospice aim to provide services for individuals and their families living within North East Wales and the border areas who are living with a diagnosis of a progressive and/or life-limiting illness, delivered when possible in the location of their choice and always within the resources available to Nightingale House Hospice. In some way or another, many of us would have been affected or know someone who has required palliative care, so it was great to see so many people making a big effort for this one.
Thank you once again
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in the charity bike ride. Your support and generosity have made a real difference, and we are absolutely delighted to have been able to hand over a cheque for £1500 to the hospice staff. Your efforts and dedication to this cause are genuinely appreciated, and we are grateful to have such a wonderful and supportive community at Cefn Albion football club. Thank you again to everyone who contributed to this successful fundraising effort.
Cefn Albion chairman Stewart Roberts added "Our community football club continues to raise thousands of pounds for local charities and causes and this is another example of the great work that everyone at the club and all those connected to it are doing. Collectively we are helping to make a difference and I'm really proud of everyone involved, this is what our community football club stands for and we will continue to use our platform to do good things, thank you!"
