Cefn Albion is thrilled to announce that we have agreed to partner with the Cefn Club for the next 5 years. This is extremely positive news as we start the new year, and we are confident that this partnership will be beneficial for both the football club and the community.
Just like our football club, the Cefn Club is an integral part of our community and we are eager to join forces with them in order to work towards our mutual goal of making Cefn Mawr a better place. This partnership will allow us to come together to host events and activities that will bring people together and make a positive impact.
As part of the new partnership, we are excited to announce the purchase of a new red and black striped third kit. This kit will be sponsored by the Cefn Club and will feature the Cefn Club logo written on the front. The red and black colours of this kit are a nod to the original colours of Albion and we believe that they will be a hit with both players and fans. We are proud to be partnering with the Cefn Club and are grateful for their support in helping us to purchase this new kit. We can't wait to see it on the pitch!
After agreeing to the partnership with Cefn Albion, Sam Ansloos spoke on behalf of the Cefn Club and he said “We are absolutely thrilled to be joining forces with Cefn Albion Football Club and partnering with them for the next 5 years. Since taking over the reins of the Cefn Club in October we have been blown away by the community of Cefn Mawr, with ‘the Albion’ being at the heart of it. We would like to thank Cefn Albion and the local community for trusting us with your club we promise to represent a club that you will be proud of.
Over the next 5 years, the team here at the Cefn Club will do our utmost to ensure that we provide a home that every associated with Cefn Albion and the local community deserves.
In addition to thanking Cefn Albion, we would also like to take this opportunity to thank Matthew Roberts and Club Trustees, Sponsors and members for your support. There will be many exciting years to come and we can’t wait to share them with you! #UPTHEALBION”
Following the news, we also caught up with Cefn Albion chairman Stewart Roberts who said “As Chairman of Cefn Albion Football Club, I am delighted to confirm the partnership with the Cefn Club for the next 5 years. The `Legion` has been our home since we formed and is at the very centre of everything we do at Cefn Albion, to have Sam & Marcus' support confirmed so early into their management of the Club is a real boost for the football club. We refer to the Cefn Club as a "partner" because it will not only continue to serve us from a footballing perspective, but it will also host all of our community events and charity functions. The Cefn Club is a beacon in the local area, and we are proud to work with them as we strive to make a positive impact on the people of Cefn Mawr and the surrounding areas.
At the recent Cefn Albion Christmas Jumper Day event we took the opportunity to thank Sam and all at the Cefn Club for the support that they have shown to our club since taking over. It seemed rather fitting to do so, whilst we were all at the club helping to raise over £1,000 for local lad Emyr Hughes who we continue to support through his difficult journey. To personally observe voluntary representatives from the Albion fundraising team, committee, management, players, and supporters come together with the wider community is something to behold. There are far too many names to mention but each and every one that contributes and supports is a huge credit to Cefn Mawr and Cefn Albion.
We are grateful to have the Cefn Club as a partner because it will help us expand our community and charitable efforts over the next five years. This aligns with our values and goals as a club so we are really thankful. If we can facilitate a move ‘home’ (back to Cefn Mawr) on the footballing side of things we will be progressing nicely. We want to assure our supporters that this remains a priority and we are working extremely hard and working with all the necessary stakeholders to make it happen.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to everyone for their hard work and dedication throughout 2022, both on and off the field. Your contributions, whether in football, administration, fundraising, or community aspect, have been invaluable. There are so many dedicated individuals in our club and I am grateful to be part of such a supportive and positive community. #UPTHEALION"
We believe that this partnership is incredibly important for both the football club and the community. It will help us to strengthen our ties with the community, and it will also allow us to work together to provide opportunities and experiences that will benefit everyone. We are confident that this partnership will be a success, and we are excited to see what the future holds. Thank you to Marcus, Sam and the rest of the team at the Cefn Club.
