Cup kings Cefn Albion rounded off an unforgettable season by completing a fantastic double.
Already winners of the national FAW Trophy, Sean Jones and Stephen Davies’ side were again in ruthless form as they swept aside Mold Alex 5-1 in Friday’s WNL Premier Division final at The Rock.
That made it eight trophies for the Albion since their formation five years ago.
Cefn raced into a four-goal lead against a normally very strong Mold outfit which failed to turn up on the night.
Although the Alex pulled one back through Rhys Nash to make it 4-1 at half time, that was as good as it got for the Alyn Park outfit.
Albion went on to add a fifth in the second period to achieve a scoreline they richly deserved.
Conner Kendrick, goal-getting star of Cefn’s run to FAW Trophy glory, further enhanced his reputation as a net-finder extraordinaire with a hat-trick in Friday’s final.
Dan Cox and Alex Williams added further goals for the Wrexham side.
