As we prepare for another preseason we are pleased to announce that Cefn Albion has secured 10 fixtures that we believe are appropriate to test the players that are ready to represent the football club ahead of the 2022/23 season. At the Albion, we consider ourselves as one club so despite having 10 fixtures scheduled for preseason this is a chance for players to test themselves and have an opportunity to impress the management, it's likely that we will take mixed sides to many of these games to keep it fair. We are also conscious that some of the teams that we will face will want to be challenged so we will ensure that we are competitive in all games
The fixtures are as follows:
In previous years, when we used to be welcome at the Rock, we always used our annual friendly fixture against Cefn Druids to raise much-needed funds for a local cause or charity e.g. Plas Bod Llwyd and Rhosymedre Grave Yard to name just a couple. Despite being forced away from the Rock which means that we have to play football matches outside our own village of Cefn Mawr we are delighted to announce that our friends from Clywedog Park, Brickfield Rangers have agreed to join forces and together we will use our friendly fixture on the 23rd July 2022 to raise lots of money for a local cause. A big thank you to Brickfield Rangers for stepping in and allowing us to continue with a tradition that we are really proud of. CAFC has raised tens of thousands of pounds for charities and local causes since we formed so being forced to play football outside of the village will not stop us from doing great things!
We will appreciate your support during these friendly fixtures!
