Cefn Albion Remembers 2019
Today, alike previous years numerous members of our football club which included players, management, committee and supporters congregated at the Cefn Mawr Memorial Cenotaph to pay our respects to all the people who have fallen during all Wars since World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, in 1918.

On a cold but sunny morning it was once again an incredible turn out with hundreds gathering to pay their respects to our fallen heroes. We all know that Cefn Mawr is a tight knit community but the attendance at the service epitomises the togetherness between everyone within the village. It was a fitting service which involved readings from local people and pupils from all the local schools which gave it a real community feel whilst importantly remembering those who lost their lives during battle.

The football club purchased a poppy wreath which our new club captain Nathan Williams (pictured below) kindly laid at the on the memorial during the service. We are proud to be based within such a fantastic community.

Also, during Friday nights derby game versus Rhos Aelwyd at the Rock both teams held an impeccable minutes silence to remember the fallen.
Well done to everyone involved. Another great service in Cefn Mawr!
