We can confirm that the pre-season schedule will commence on Thursday 27th June when all current and new players are welcomed back to begin the hard work of preparing for what lies ahead. The session will be held at Ty Mawr.
Having lifted the Welsh Trophy and League Cup this season many clubs got in touch via our social media channels regarding friendlies and in order to prepare the team for next seasons exciting new challenge the management team have arranged six tough friendlies that will each bring a different test for the players involved. A seventh fixture will be played on the 3rd August when League Cup winners Cefn Albion travel to the Dunks to take on the League Champions FC Queens Park in the Presidents Cup.
This year’s friendlies list will once again include the annual fixture against our Welsh Premier League friends Cefn Druids where we will hope to raise some money for a local cause. Other challenges include a visit from Dan Moore’s Cymru Alliance outfit Buckley Town and Warrington and District outfit Haalewood Apollo which will both prove difficult tests! We will also travel to the Beech Grove Stadium in Shropshire to take on first Division south outfit Ellesmere Rangers and a further two away fixtures against Connahs Quay academy and newly formed Chirk Town will complete the programme.
An excellent set of fixtures in store for those who want to be part of the exciting new chapter for Cefn Albion.
