This week, we were extremely saddened to learn of the passing of Jill Morris, a much-loved and popular figure in our local community. Jill was not only a supporter of Cefn Albion Football Club but also a proud family member to many involved in the club both past and present. Her son, Dean Morris, currently serves as our club secretary, while her grandsons, Kien and Osian Morris, proudly represent the team on the pitch. Her brother, Alan Davies, holds a special place as our club president, and the Morris family’s ties to Cefn Albion run deep, with many more connections throughout the club.
Over the years, it was always a joy to see Jill on the sidelines, cheering for the team, with a special pride in her grandchildren representing us. Following our League Cup final victory at The Rock in May 2019, Jill was captured proudly hugging Kien post-match, a photo that perfectly reflects her pride, joy, and unwavering support for the club and especially her family. Away from the pitch, her support shone through as she engaged with every social media post, always signing off with her trademark, “#UpTheAlbion’. Even during challenging times of ill health, Jill's enthusiasm and dedication never wavered. Her presence and interactions across our online platforms will be sorely missed.
Our thoughts are with all of Jill’s family and friends during this difficult time. We extend our support to the immediate family members who dedicate their time as volunteers at our club. Please know that we are here for you and encourage you to take all the time you need to navigate this difficult period. You have our full support!
Jill, you will be missed by everyone at Cefn Albion Football Club. There's only one Jill Morris 💙🤍
