Matchday Parking – Support the Team, Respect the Community

Cefn Albion Football Club is proud to have returned home to Cefn Mawr following three extremly difficult years in exile. The backing we’ve received from the local community has been exceptional, and we are sincerely grateful to everyone who has supported the team since our return.

As attendance continues to grow at The MUGA, we are aware of concerns raised by local residents regarding parking on matchdays. The club continues to be reminded by Cefn Mawr Community Council via email communication.

Although there are currently no parking restrictions or yellow lines on the surrounding roads, we respectfully ask all visitors to the MUGA to park considerately and avoid blocking pavements, driveways, or access routes. Our volunteers are there to assist and advise, and should never be placed in a vulnerable or confrontational position. Your cooperation is essential in helping us maintain a safe, respectful, and enjoyable matchday environment for everyone.

To help minimise disruption on matchdays, the club has taken, and will continue to take, the following actions:

  • Laid out yellow bollards along the pavement from The MUGA to the library, including the stretch between the railway bridge and the ground, to discourage unsafe roadside parking

  • Published regular matchday reminders across our social media platforms, encouraging respectful parking and highlighting recommended parking areas for spectators

  • Created a dedicated parking guidance page on the official Cefn Albion website to inform visitors of best practice and key information ahead of matchdays

  • Engaged in ongoing dialogue with the local council and residents to understand concerns and work together on practical, long-term solutions

✅ Parking Guidance:

  • Spectators are encouraged to use the George Edwards Hall car park (at the rear), located a short walk from The MUGA. The postcode is Cefn-mawr, Wrexham LL14 3AE and its a 3 minute walk

  • Please avoid parking along the roadside between the railway bridge and The MUGA, where yellow bollards will be in place to prevent obstruction and ensure pedestrian safety

  • Do not park in designated residential parking areas or on pavements, mounting kerbs or blocking driveways causes unnecessary disruption and safety concerns for our neighbours

  • 🅿️ The main car park at The MUGA is strictly reserved for players and match officials only

If you live locally and are able to, we also kindly encourage supporters to walk to the ground to help ease congestion on surrounding roads.

We are committed to being a good neighbour and maintaining a positive relationship with the community. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of Cefn Albion Football Club, both on and off the pitch.
