On Sunday the 20th of December players, management, and supporters connected to Cefn Albion football club will be meeting for the annual Christmas get-together. Following recent charity event successes, this year we will be using the opportunity to raise some more money for 5 year old Sophia Morris who we all know was cleared of cancer back in August 2020.
Given the current climate and the global pandemic we are living in, this all relies on the Cefn Mawr community social club being permitted to open its doors on the 20th and of course there will be a limit on the numbers so please ensure that you reserve your spot quickly to be part of what is usually a special day. Fortunately, with the CMCSC being able to accommodate a fairly large number of guests whilst maintaining and adhering to all social distancing guidelines, it enables us to conduct this charity in a safe manner whilst raising money for a fantastic cause!
Usually, we do a darts and pool knockout but we felt that this would encourage too much 'mingling' resulting in guidelines being broken which is not what we want, and will be doing everything to ensure does not happen! Instead, Nick Jones, who works tirelessly for our club, has come up with a plan to safely conduct a Christmas quiz which will see teams be broken into four and socially distanced within their group. All proceeds will kindly be donated to our chosen charities. Anyone who does not follow the rules set out by the CMCSC will be asked to leave the premises, the safety of everyone is paramount!
The competitions will begin at 13:00 at our fantastic HQ, the Cefn Mawr Community Social Club. The format and rules are as follows:
Under the current circumstances. it is going to take a lot of effort to make it work this year so we need everyone's full cooperation, please.
Any problems or questions please get in touch with the football club
