This Saturday’s Ardal Northern East derby at The MUGA is about much more than football. We are proud to welcome members of Your Space, a Wrexham based autism charity that means a lot to our community and to people across North Wales.
Many will remember the heartwarming moment earlier this season when Andrew Edwards visited The MUGA. Andrew, who works with Your Space, is an avid football shirt collector and an inspiration to so many. When he asked if we had an old shirt for his collection, volunteers dug out our iconic 2018/19 FAW Trophy final shirt. The smile on his face, the messages he sent afterwards, and the eight mile run he completed proudly wearing the shirt reminded us what football is truly about. Community. Kindness. Belonging. The Albion way.
Sadly, Your Space is now facing a very real threat of closure. The charity needs to raise £150,000 to continue supporting autistic children and young people across Wrexham and North Wales. Recent news stories have highlighted just how tough things have become.
Even Wrexham AFC striker Paul Mullin, an ambassador for the charity, has stepped in by auctioning two pairs of custom boots to help raise funds. His support shows how important the charity is, and how vital it is that we rally behind them at this difficult time.
💙 HOW WE CAN HELP
On Saturday, volunteers from Your Space will be at The MUGA for a bucket collection during our home fixture against Penycae. Every penny donated will go directly to helping Your Space continue their life changing work.
If you can spare anything at all, please do. Your kindness will help keep a vital service alive for local families and young people who depend on it.
Let’s show the same warmth, generosity, and community spirit that Andrew felt on his first visit. Let’s stand together for a charity that stands for so many.
