Tier 2 Licensing Update

Despite promotion to Tier 2 for Cefn Albion Football Club (CAFC) no longer a possibility an application for the license was submitted to the FAW before the deadline date (30th April 2022) as we prepared for any outcome.

Today we have received confirmation from the FAW which confirms that CAFC has been refused the Tier 2 License for the 2022 / 23 season. The refusal reason is minor and we are confident that it will be rectified on appeal which the club is preparing to do.

Despite the football club not requiring a Tier 2 license for the 2022 / 2023 season, our volunteers are working extremely hard to ensure that all the necessary criteria are being met so that we can plan for the present and for our eventual return to Cefn Mawr.

Our goal is to ensure that this football club can represent at a level where it deserves to be.
