Tier 3 Licensing Update

Despite promotion to Tier 2 for Cefn Albion Football Club (CAFC) no longer a possibility an application for the license was submitted to the FAW before the deadline date (30th April 2022) as we prepared for any outcome.

On the 6th May 2022, we announced that the club had received confirmation from the FAW which confirms that CAFC had been refused the Tier 2 License for the 2022 / 23 season. The refusal reason was minor and as promised we have already acted upon the feedback and submitted an appeal.

Despite the appeal currently in progress, the club received confirmation from the FAW on 11/05/22 which confirms that CAFC has been refused the Tier 3 License for the 2022 / 23 season. The reasoning is the same minor issue that prevented us from obtaining the tier 2 license and is in relation to the ground share agreement with Brickfield Rangers and authority from Ysgol Clywedog. We can assure everyone our volunteers are continuing to work extremely hard to ensure that all the necessary criteria are being met.

Our goal remains the same which is to ensure that this football club can represent at a level where it deserves to be.
