Venue Change Announcement

Cefn Albion Football Club can confirm that our upcoming Ardal League North East home fixture against Caersws this Saturday (29/01/2022) has been moved from the originally booked venue of The Rock, Cefn Druids, and will now be played at Clywedog Park, the home of Ardal League North West outfit Brickfield Rangers FC.

Cefn Albion was asked to consider either Friday (28/01) or Sunday (30/01) as alternatives at the Rock, however, after communications between all parties the availability of players, management and other volunteers meant that playing the fixture on Saturday (29/01), as scheduled, was preferential. It was also a difficult task for us to arrange sufficient stewarding/marshals which is a requirement for hosting games at the Rock.

We would like to express our thankfulness to Brickfield Rangers for allowing the Cefn Albion and Caersws management, players and supporters the use of the facilities at Clywedog which has enabled us to host this much awaited fixture this weekend. The kick-off is at 14:00.

Following the venue change, Cefn Albion Chairman Stewart Roberts said

“On behalf of Cefn Albion Football Club, I would like to thank Brickfield Rangers for their support at short notice in hosting or fixture versus Caersws, likewise Caersws for agreeing to the movement of the game away from The Rock. I would encourage ALL Cefn Albion Supporters to make the short journey to Clywedog Park this Saturday to show our appreciation to BRFC and to support the lads in a top Tier 3 Clash.”

This is a huge fixture for the football club so as per the comments from our chairman we are urging our supporters to not only come and support the team but let's show our appreciation to Brickfield for all their help.

Despite us encouraging supporters we still have to comply with all guidelines in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved. If anyone has any questions or concerns about this fixture then please don't hesitate to contact the club. There have been a few changes to the Covid protocols recently so please be mindful and remind yourself of the guidelines.
