Cefn Albion Football Club is actively seeking new volunteers to come and get involved with our fast-growing community-based football club.
Following the Tier 3 license approval and becoming founders members of the new North East Wales league the football club finds itself embarking on a new unfamiliar journey and we want to ensure that we are fully prepared for what lies ahead. Of course, preparations for the new season started as soon as 2019/20 was curtailed but we are reaching out to our community and beyond to encourage dedicated individuals to please come and get involved, share your ideas and help this football club progress both on and off the field.
We believe that our volunteers (past & present) are the backbone of the football club and without their hard work and dedication behind the scenes (which is usually tasks that go unnoticed), we wouldn’t be where we are today. At the Albion we continue to search for new ways to improve and implement processes that help us strengthen at the core, it's vital to ensure we have a solid infrastructure in place to ensure a positive future. We also understand the importance of not relying on one or two people to take on a lot of the work and spread the workload so responsibilities are shared. We want to avoid burnout and retain our fantastic volunteers for as long as possible.
With the recent appointments of Phil Bathers, Kevin Edwards, and Richard Williams-Cooke we have made three fantastic additions to the backroom and strengthened considerably (more new committee members TBA) but we would like to strengthen even further if we can.
We are not advertising for a specific role but if you feel that you can help in any of the following areas then please get in touch so that we can talk. If you feel that you can help in an area that is not listed then please also get in touch. This is just to give some examples.
If you know someone that may be interested then please tag them in this post. It could be someone that is retired or maybe someone who is currently studying in school, college, or university i.e. creative media. Perhaps someone just needs a new focus in life or maybe you are at the games each week and want to become more involved, maybe you just have a passion for grassroots football? the point we are making is that there are no set criteria that needs to be met other than being committed to helping our football club move forward.
We are a community orientated club and very welcoming, you will be made to feel part of the football family from day one. Volunteering can have many benefits such as
